Foliage can create unique prints of different colours and shapes when applied by hand to various natural fabrics such as silk, wool, cotton, linen, and blends of natural fibers. The printed colours often differ from that of the foliage in response to the mordants used. The resulting fabrics can make beautiful scarves, wall hangings, and cushion covers — as in the selections below.
